Medical Tips
Preparation for the Hajj is long and ardous undertaking. Every Haji need to be acquainted with medical, administrative and travel formalities. It is wise to start preparation from the month of Ramzan.
The pilgrim should start with inoculation against “Meningitis” and “Typhoid” about 15 to 10 days before the commencement of journey. Certificate of the inoculation should be kept safely otherwise Saudi authorities at Jeddah airport shall put the Haji in quarantine.
Pilgrim should also carry with them essential medicines for any particular ailment like Diabetis, Blood pressure, Heart problems, Arthritis etc. He should present all the medicines, in packed form duly supported by medical prescription, to medical officer at Haji camp. The medical officer shall put his signature and seal the plastic bag. Saudi authorities does not allow loose and uncertified medicines.other links
